Whether you're a new business entity or an established enterprise, follow these steps to get started doing business with the Lottery.

  1. Register your business with the MyFloridaMarketPlace Vendor Information Portal (VIP). Once registered, select the commodity codes that best fit your business. Next, opt in to receive free email notifications of business opportunities based on your selected commodity codes.

Vendor Information Portal (VIP) is used for formal procurements of $65,000 or greater. Vendors receive notice on their selected commodity codes.

MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) is used for informal eQuotes less than $65,000 or utilizing a state term contract. Vendors receive notice when selected by an agency to supply quotes.

  2. When you see a business opportunity you're interested in, review the bid specifications, prepare a bid response, and submit the response based on the required format and timeline.

  3. Check the VIP to see all solicitation posting and contract awards.

SOLICITATIONS AND DEFINITIONS

The Florida Lottery's Current Solicitations

There are no ongoing solicitations at this time.

Addendum: A document issued by the Lottery during a competitive solicitation which may include changes to specifications, terms and/or conditions, clarifications, and/or responses to Vendors' questions.

eQuote: An electronic informal competitive quote transmitted via the MyFloridaMarketPlace Sourcing application. This web-based functionality of MFMP replaces the old technology of faxing or emailing quotation documents between a state agency and vendors. Leveraging the eQuote function within MFMP provides administrative efficiencies to both the State and its vendors.

Invitation to Bid (ITB): This procurement is used when the purchaser is capable of establishing precise specifications defining the commodity(s) required, or specifically defining the scope of work for which a contractual service is required. Cost is generally the factor for award. Usually used for the acquisition of commodities and simple services such as janitorial and pest control services.

Request for Proposal (RFP): This procurement is used when the purchaser has a general idea of what is required and is incapable of specifically defining the scope of work for which the commodity or contractual service is required. The RFP usually includes functional or general specifications, statement of work, and evaluation criteria. Proposals may be evaluated using a point system with points given each proposal by an evaluation team. The evaluation team consists of members who collectively have experience and knowledge in the program areas and service requirements for which contractual services and/or commodities are sought. The RFP is utilized when the qualifications of a vendor, its experience, methodology and approach to the project and its proposed staffing will need to be considered.

Invitation to Negotiate (ITN): This procurement is a process that is ideal for the acquisition of commodities and/or services that involve rapidly changing technology, new emerging technology, or complex services. The ITN looks like, and can be structured like an RFP, but is more flexible.

Notice: A posting announcing a public meeting or formalizing a decision by the Lottery for a contract award resulting from either a competitive solicitation, or a determination for a single source contract award.
